Throughout the last decade, Louise Alexander Gallery has developed a preeminent program representing a multifaceted group of internationally acknowledged contemporary artists including Enrique Martinez Celaya, Barry X Ball, Folkert de Jong, Marco Tirelli and exclusively represents The Guy Bourdin Estate.
Founded in 2007, Louise Alexander Gallery established itself within a remote location in Aga Khan's architectural vernacular resort, Porto Cervo in Sardinia as the first contemporary space to join a new cultural platform initiative to contain contemporary art and design.
Presenting works across all mediums including photography, paint, sculpture and video, the gallery continues to evolve its artists at its main location and over the last decade has maintained a nomadic gallery model organising exhibitions and projects in prolific venues worldwide.
In 2019, Louise Alexander gallery will open its second gallery in Los Angeles, California, expanding it's exhibition prominence by engaging in an exciting artist community that is unique to Los Angeles.
Having presence on the West Coast comes about following several years of projects and exhibitions in the city establishing a stable group of collectors, artists and institutions to work with.
From it's inception, Louise Alexander Gallery has helped launch and develop careers of key artists and as exclusive representatives of the Guy Bourdin Estate, the gallery brings to light many years of archiving, through chronicled exhibitions and dialogues with audiences and institutions all over the world.
