Louise Alexander Gallery will present a group exhibition of works by represented artists between the 3 September until 4 October 2017. The late summer group show will feature artists Vladimir Dubossarsky, Enrique Martínez Celaya and Barry X Ball, each work connected by shared interest in the visual interpretation of fantasy and the elaborated truth.
The works on view include a oil and wax on canvas painting by Enrique Martínez Celaya which remains the core of his work, in which he often refers to mystical ideas or fairy tales. A sculpture in black Belgian marble typical of Barry X Ball, which takes the forms and production methods of traditional sculpture and weds them to contemporary technologies. Vivid paintings by Russian artist Vladimir Dubossarsky with the main focus of his work switching from socialist fantasy to the ideals of mass media.
